Video of Vintage Nursery Lamp

I recently listed a Vintage Musical Nursery Lamp on Happy Day Vintage.  No matter how hard I tried I was unable to capture it's true charm.  I cut this video to show you, first hand, how adorable this lamp really is...

Last May the following Nursery Lamp sold for $105.00 after a very short stent on Happy Day Vintage

I hate good byes....

Every once in awhile I purchase something for my Happy Day Vintage shop which I simply cannot give up. Here are a few of those items:

I don't normally gravitate toward the antique treasures (I prefer retro/mod/vintage) but I couldn't live without this window and it's matching counterpart. These two windows flank either side of our fireplace. I don't know where they came from but it's fun coming up with outrageous stories on their original location. They make for a fun conversation starter.
This lamp is cork and crazy... I love it. Obviously the material drew me to it but I fell in love with the sexy, curvy shape. It sits on the end table (below) next to our couch.

The end table above started out a dark brown, faux wood color. I painted it black (although I need to do one or two more coats) and put it next to our couch. I love functional art.

I just purchased this fantastic office chair. Obviously, it sits in our office. I giggle every time I look at it because it reminds me of the movie "Anchorman".

This is the first item I ever kept for myself, vs putting it for sale in the Happy Day Vintage Shop. Much like the lamp above, I love the curvy shape. I also like the bright white color. It adds a pop of interest in our dark orange office.

Fashion Friday with Etsy, A Colorful Vintage Living Room

We're switching it up a little this week. After finding this fabulous picture of a colorful living room which was furnished with almost all vintage goodies, I thought our Fashion Friday with Etsy could be recreating a part of this lovely room...
Whimsical, vibrant, and full of character, this room just screams charming. Cozy enough to sit on the couch and read a book or chat with your dearest friend over a cup of coffee. Isn't it delightful?

Let's focus on one little corner of the room...
A mod lamp with a drum shade and a yellow box that it sits on. A TV tray used as an end table. A cute little scottie planter used as a flower vase. A lovely bronze leaf. Add a vintage throw pillow and frame and voila! No need to buy new to recreate this... let's go shopping on Etsy!
TV Tray: Vintage TV Tray, $47.00
Vintage throw pillow: Vintage Crewel Flower Pillow, $24.00

Lack of Love

My sincere apologies for the lack of vintage love this week. I especially apologize for not getting the "Fashion Friday with Etsy" blog post out today. The good news is I plan to make up for it next week.
Thank you and Have a Happy Day!

btw...I may not have a "Fashion Friday with Etsy" post for you but I can show you a few of the new items we listed this week on Happy Day Vintage.
