On a weekly basis I get convos or emails from people asking similar questions. I figure since so many people ask, you may be wondering the same thing?

What kind of paint do you use on the jewerly boxes? Also, is that paper, wall paper or adhesive on the sides? Finally, do you put your own velvet in on the inside?Thank you soooooooooooooooo much!

MY RESPONSE
Thank you for reaching out and thank you for the compliments on my blog.
Truth be told I need to get a lot better at updating my blog more
often.
What kind of paint do you use?
I normally use spray paint. I sand down, prime and then paint each jewelry box.
Is that paper?
Yes, I use a thicker craft paper or like scrap book paper. The trick is to make sure it's thick enough so the lays nicely without bubbling on the jewelry box. I do use wall paper when I can find good prints.
Adhesive:
I have tried all kinds of adhesive. It truly depends on the jewelry box finish. I most often use a mix of glue, water and flour that I create myself. It seems to work best.
Do you put your own velvet on the inside?
On occasion I do refurbish the inside of jewelry boxes if the velvet is dirty. If the inside is in good condition I leave the inside as is.
I hope this helps? Thanks you for writing. Have a Happy Day!
